I remember making an Einsturzende shirt by scrawling on a blank shirt a few years ago. I don't own any white shirts, but I'd print them now. Not diy, but definitely better looking.

It was the stickman logo. It came out pretty well considering I just used a sharpie. I'd print up a shirt with the PIL logo if I had some extra cash, I can't find a PIL shirt anywhere.

Growing up in Columbus, GA in those dark, dark days before there was a "Hot Topic," the only punk rock band shirts WERE homemade shirts.

In fact, I think that all actual punk rock shirts are homemade punk rock shirts.

I may have mentioned this before, but I once played a show opening for Fugazi with "this is not a Fugazi t-shirt" written on my bare chest.

I felt pretty clever about that.

I used to make them, not as cool as FUgazi-not t's, but I did have one that was a Mars Volta T that just had a pic of Omar's Pedal Config on it. Maybe you hate them, but you have to admit... the level of nerd-dom that I reached was astounding

That is awesome.

That also settles it: Once I get home from my parents' place, I'm going to craft myself a band shirt.

My old band's shirts were us going to the store, buying a six pack of white shirts in the 4 major sizes, then writing in black sharpie "Gnarr" up near the neckline. We then sold them for $3.
