Not crap, duh. As pointed out on the "great female singers" thread some time back, Mavis Staples kicks vast, vast tracts of ass in this. Also: Isaac Hayes' entrance!!!

There are a few audience shots of a couple of guys with big hats dancing. This sort of strains credulity but I've been told that these particular shots were like the actual birth of breakdancing, in that the style got copied widely and mutated.

And the way that Rufus Thomas is spontaneously able to defuse what could've been a riot-type situation, just by words and humor, with no cops or force needed whatsoever, is really brilliant and magical.
