That happened like half a mile from my apartment.The cops were stopping them for jaywalking as the nearby high school had asked them to tell kids not to do that. There's a sky bridge in place because the MLK/Rainier intersection is clusterfuck.Honestly, compared to most of the videos that get out there, the cop was pretty subdued. Seems like most would have hauled off on her a lot sooner.

FWIW, the girl privately apologized to the cop.This is at least partly a big PR move as the SPD is recoving from the "Beat the Mexican Piss Out of You incident this past March.And all this in the midst of trying to find a new police chief. The Seattle thing is an inspirational story.Invaluable life lesson.She learned not to talk back to cops without losing a lot of blood and/or teeth.It would have been a good episode of TJ Hooker. They would have had Heather Locklear punch her, though.

Cover up or run.The part I found the most odd was that shoving the cop seemed like a good way to help out her friend. I can't see shoving a cop doing anything except making your friend's bad situation even worse.That is all I am saying, they both could have easily been killed. They could have been killed and it would have been ruled 'justified' very quickly.
