Helms Alee: Buy everything you can
32Blew Torche and Big Business out of the water when I saw them all on the same bill a few years ago. Not crap.

34I finally had the chance to see them live at the Wonder Ballroom here in PDX and it was awesome. Definite highlight was Hozoji Margullis' drumwork. What a freakin' powerhouse...she just propelled their goddamn spaceship to the outer reaches. I'm told by the locals that I need to see her side project Lozen. I guess she holds down the bass in a two-piece for that one. Tim, I owned all three records before I saw them live and, while I appreciate them on record, the live show is better. That said it is far from night and day...I connect much better with the new record after seeing them live.

38Fantastic.This band kicks as much of my ass as any active band on the planet.I only have the new record. I kinda don't want to listen to it, I have loved them live so much.

They've actually been around for a LOT longer than Helms Alee.Hozi usually plays guitar or bass, but more towards bass there these days.Every so often they'll do a double drummer thing too.Great band!http://ruralwolf.bandcamp.com/album/lozen-oona
