Search for youtube videos of Korean samul-nori.Lots and lots and lots of electronic music obviously. Check out my buddies in Lumisokea (search on Bandcamp) for instance, who are inspired by the Korean percussion music genre mentioned above.

Looking for music that is based more around rhythms than melody, with percussion as a lead instrument. Obviously much of the music favoured on here is strongly based around the rhythm section “ I guess I mean the more extreme end of that. Jaki Liebezeit and Burnt Friedman's 'Secret Rhythms' series would be an example. Cheers! And feel free to kerble, didn't know exactly how to search.

Despite having a pianist and double bass player, the band DAWN OF MIDI sounds very much like rhythm/percussion based music to me. The way this album sounds is insane, so "empty" but with so many details at the same time. It's hypnotic.https://dawnofmidi.bandcamp.com/
