I think its like an MDF/particle board kinda thing. Anyway, i tried ironing it with a wet towel over it, and we'll see if that helps.

How weird.You need to get it into a humid/damp environment for a few days I think, get the wood supple again so it takes the new shape/reverts to square. Wood has a pretty strong memory once dried that you may struggle to solve with just dry stretching.

If that case was in my basement right now, I'd use the clothing steamer I have down there and the spare tire jack from my car to gradually bend it back from the inside.

On a similar note, if you ever remove a celluloid pickguard (tortoise or pearloid) from an old guitar to do some repair work (or refinishing), you MUST screw it down (preferably with the full-sized metal shield if it has one) to something else in the meantime, or it'll shrink on you pretty quickly.

worst case (no pun intended) you could make a new box for it and salvage the handle, corners and feet. Other thought: could you make a back panel for the amp that provides some structural support and pushes the bent top closer to where it should be? Does that suggestion make sense?

Gotcha. Wonder if you could set up a little steaming box to accelerate the re-bending effort. I was gonna build a steamer to do to drum shells (but I have about 20 other projects in front of that). There are lots of examples for that and I think you can use a cheap electric tea kettle as your steam source.
