I'm currently making a Brazilian Rosewood guitar where that wood was asked for. It is also going to have a specific nut width and neck size/shape. The rest is up to me. I've had several where people just told me to do what I wanted and several where things were spec'd out by the customer. I have a fairly decent stash of guitar wood and wouldn't use any wood that I didn't think would be good, even if someone requested it. Things like nut width, fret size etc... are all totally customizable. I guess everything is really. I can also shoot for a specific sound although wood choice would definitely factor into that.

Nothing fancy, but neded something I could use for bass & split up when we need the synth - finishing up these this week. San diego seems to get really nice plywood. Love that you can build two of these with one sheet

I saw that thing and it looks cool but yeah, you'd have to build that guitar. I've never used a bending machine but wouldn't mind trying one out.
