Sytek MPX-4A replacement gain knob/pot

1
Hi all,I've been lurking a while reading all the great resources and humour in this forum, but this is my first post.It may be a long shot but I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could source a gain pot/knob for my sytek mpx4a preamp? One has gone missing in transit from a location gig.I have emailed sytek but haven't had a reply at this point. I'm not sure if it is a bespoke part or if they are readily available from an audio component shop/website?I don't do any repairs usually on gear so I don't really know where to look to find one, any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like the preamp to look as good as it sounds again. I am in the UK but don't mind ordering from anywhere if it's the correct part.Thank you,Iwan

Why don't you customize your Sytek with some DIY style. When a knob gives out I go with a kids toy ball there are lots of cool ones to choose from and probably are available at any coin vending machines that are strategically distributed by the forces of evil everywhere to torture parents. This is a styling fix that lets you pick out your expensive gear from others. You will need to cut a hole and some other crafty stuff to do this and I am sure there are youtube videos out there. But this helpful article and illo below on good parenting by preventing automotive concussions should provide an overview...

Using one of your remaining knobs, you should be able to measure the outside diameter "OD" and hole size "ID" (round down will give you the shaft size of the pot it would fit, and search Farnell (UK), Digikey, Allied, or Mouser for black anodized, knurled, aluminum knobs. I'm pretty sure it's an off the shelf part.Could be this type?https://www.amazon.com/Knob-Knurled-Alu ... B00CLXJ5OG
