Wedding Music or "your song"

Sorry to slightly alter the subject of this thread temporarily--didn't want to start a new thread just for this, and felt this five year old one would be the closest as far as subject matter. Can anyone recommend me a mother son dance song that doesn't suck? I have no goddamn idea and all the lists I've found online were horrid. I would absolutely use the first song that she'd suggest but she's as passive as I am and has left it up to me. Some context, my mom is in her 60s and I'm a boy of 30. So maybe a good song for a gender neutral 45 year old, split the difference. I don't know how to dance if that helps. So maybe something short.

I can't put into words how much I love my mother, and, jokes aside from my original post, I do really want to find something special for both of us. I just want to avoid a song that either of us wouldn't relate to in a way that doesn't express a genuine sentiment. It's tough! But I know it's out of there. Thanks so much for recommendations! Once I'm off work I will be checking all of these out.

Tell them you love them, people...right now.Boyz II Men - A Song For Mama- nice and slow and very touching. G.C. Cameron - It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday- a song about saying goodbye to the past. B2M covered it, but the original is thee best. v sad tho.Enough of the waterworks!Stevie Wonder - A Place in the Sun- oldie about moving on and finding happinessSly and the Family Stone - Mama Beautiful- gorgeous song about momsAnd I know you said you don't dance, but I have faith you've got moves like Junior here. And you've gotta dance, I mean, it's a wedding! Become the dance!

^^^ Damn! I can't argue with that. My wife would've slapped me if I suggested that.Registry officeSeating of guests: Fur Immer - Neu!Bride walk: Do You Believe In Magic? - The Lovin' SpoonfulRight after final kiss and exit of wedding party: Observatory Crest - Captain BeefheartBoat from city centre to riverside wedding receptionI can't remember them all, but some of the songs included Lush - Ladykillers, Big Star - Daisy Glaze, Forever More - We Sing, Creations Unlimited - Corruption Is The Thing, David Bowie - In The Heat Of The Morning, The Music Machine - Dark White, Bardo Pond - Be A Fish.First danceT Rex - Jeepster (no slow dance for us - those boogie shoes went straight on after the talking)Then there's was tons of psych, Sabbath, Cramps, Sly Stone and post-punk spun afterwards. The best man even bought his "Bad Motor Scooter" and "She Said" singles just for the occasion. Because there weren't any neighbours and the bar next door shut early, the pub landlords let us go on until midnight. All this happened outside by a picturesque river - I'm sure all the herons we saw nearby were bopping away too.Sorry if this sounds like bragging.
