Yes, this is what I was saying. There was no fantasy in my statement, and I have absolutely no interest in being some form of action hero. There are armed right wing vigilante groups thriving around the country, and the cops only stop them in the most egregious cases (see the uhaul full of masked goons with rifles at that pride parade several weeks ago). In most cases, the cops will let them roam freely, or even escort them toward their actions (see the proud boys terrorizing a kids' book reading at a public library). Our communities are under attack and that is only going to be ramped up in the coming years, and we are basically on our own to defend ourselves. I am not saying we should be out hoarding firearms and forming left wing militias, I am just saying that we will need to be open to defending ourselves if/when it becomes a necessity.

As expected, the hostility of the court is now turning towards administrative agencies, particularly the EPA.

I think the ultimate goal here is to throw out "Chevron Deference" and then maybe eliminating administrative agencies entirely as an unconstitutional delegation of power.

To the poster who posted and deleted about Highland Park: I am very glad you and yours are safe, though I know no one is "alright" under such circumstances. I can't imagine raising kids in a gun culture. What a complete and utter mess. I wish I had more than that to add, but I don't see how it gets better any time soon either, I'm afraid.
