What has basically emerged for me is that Pence would have sent it back to the states if he had been able to get someone from his innermost circle to give him cover, and that he tried quite hard to do that, entertaining all kinds of lobbying to overturn the election till the last minute essentially, and that an aid also had to make sure an aid from Ron Johnson didn't hand Pence alternate elector slates from two states on the floor on the 6th (I believe this was even at the reconvened session after the fucking insurrection). Like he couldn't be sure Pence would just chuck them aside. What an utterly pathetic excuse for a human being.

Compelling stuff, though a lot of second-hand information today.

Keep an eye on the witness tampering alluded to at the end of today's hearing. More mob boss stuff.

Honest question: Which version do you think most accurately fits the truth:

A.) Dude is so gone he truly believes the election was stolen from him
B.) Dude is totally just going along w the grift

My current thinking is that both A&B are correct: that he has always relied on lawyers to solve his problems and has just been working from that same playbook all along and his own narcissistic delusions have taken over the narrative to the point where he actually believes it.

I guess A), but I don't think he's "gone", and truth is moot to him as long as he wins.

There's no way he's just "going along" with anything.

That woman who worked for him, the one who looks like Beavis, said she thought he actually believes it.
