I wanted 'No. 1 in Heaven', but it was $75. I asked the guy how prices are determined, and mentioned the Sparks records. He said a woman came in with those, and they paid around $300 for them.

So, yeah, the older Sparks albums should be reissued. I know there was a 40th anniversary ed of 'No. 1 in Heaven', but it's sold out on their website.
huh, they must've gotten a boost with the recent documentary and that play they scored. We have a whole pile of Sparks albums we couldn't have paid more than $8-9 bucks for each (and to be honest, the only one I go back to with any regularity is Kimono My House)

Yeah, the same record store guy mentioned the documentary and the fact that they are a big cult band. The only ones I'd really be interested in picking up are 'No. 1 in Heaven' and 'Kimono My House'.

Honestly, I didn't know anything by them - except for 'Cool Places' - until I saw the doc, and then live in Knoxville earlier this year.
"Whatever happened to that album?"
"I broke it, remember? I threw it against the wall and it like, shattered."

"My Other Voice" on No. 1 in Heaven is a favorite track of mine. I'm not really buying records anymore, I'm selling them, but I'd buy a copy of that if I found one at a reasonable price.
