Thanks for the introduction, mister. I've been checking out other vids and seem to have gotten stuck on this live performance. Love their slavish attention to classic house sounds and the vocals bring to mind a cross between Tom of England and Genesis Breyer P-Orridge.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the vibe of this party. House lives in dirty basements and dive clubs. Sure, you can pay $$ to go to some glitzy megaclub in Ibiza but it started in the underground and there is where the best house sets live.

Also, super queer.

I'm no expert in electronic/dance music but here in Ibiza there's no real love for that music. Everything is just so fake. It's just rich people tryin to look cool at the "in" places. I've met dj's who work at the "coolest" places and they also have assured that to me. On the other hand they are paid gazillions, can't blame'em.

And I think that sounds came originally from UK and Germany in the first place. You know this island is full of brits and germans, they brought it I've been told.

Hearing from the people I have met who have gone to Ibiza from the US, that sounds exactly how it is, even worse in the time of Instragram I'm sure. If I ever go there it will not be with anyone into that scene. I'd love to see the Balearic Islands....

Looks like Vol. 1 by Decius landed squarely in the Top 5 spot on The Quietus best of 2022 list.

Speaking of lists I'm compiling my own. Dance to Keep From Cryin by Cor.Ece makes an appearance. All shag rugs, afro-puffs, and rubbery, ebullient funk/r&b gussied-up in a house vibe.

That's where I first read about them.
