Partner getting a hip replaced tomorrow. Running errands for our hunker down following the procedure. If all goes well, I'll be going down to L.A. for my mom's memorial service the first week of December. Saw all of it coming, so I've saved PTO for three weeks off. Next year, maybe some fun stuff to spend it on.

Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery and everything as good as possible, and sorry about your mom. My partner looking at eventual possible double replacement - always looking to hear success stories

I'm familiar with the struggle; it's tricky traveling to parts of east Asia with dietary restrictions. I am primarily vegetarian/pescetarian for health reasons, so it's generally not a problem for me to fudge on that a bit when traveling, but anyone who is a strict vegetarian, vegan, etc. would have some trouble.

Let it be known that I found an amazing vegan/vegetarian strongly-friendly noodle/dumpling spot in Hong Kong run by two very nice and very funny women
The hand cut Dan Dan noodle alone would be worth building an entire restaurant around, but then their dumplings are something else entirely. Great vibe. I love them
