Yeah. NYC Ghosts and Flowers was the more critically panned album, and when I eventually got around to listening to it didn't think it was all that bad! (the SYR improvisational albums were bad, but at least presented as a different thing.)

The only ones I can think of are those of 1994-1998 period Front Line Assembly. So ok Millennium seems to be quite appreciated, but a lot of folks in my circles at the time didn't like guitars. FLAvour of the Weak though seemed to be widely considered the worst one, but I thought it was great and I like it still.

I think most of their other stuff sucks except Gashed and Caustic.

Okay, then maybe I should go to bat for Murray Street and Rather Ripped. Both excellent.
They are excellent, but I can't think of any hate. Underappreciated sure, but almost universally both had positive reviews.

I know peeps who hate Dirty. Mark Prindle for one.

It's a decent album but let's be honest, it was a sellout album.
