Side note: I recently heard Police Squad is relaunching with Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin. I'm super excited to see how Liam Neeson pulls off what Leslie Neilson did. I have high hopes.A_Man_Who_Tries wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2024 6:32 am Studio executives are businesspeople, and I've met no more than three in my life who placed the work on a parallel with its market potential. Police Squad as was, would have floundered quickly. Even the best jokes wear thin and it was always variations on a narrow theme, which can be a strength when you get out early.

1052I don't think of Liam Neeson as a comic actor.cakes wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2024 11:52 amSide note: I recently heard Police Squad is relaunching with Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin. 1054He was in the action flick Next of Kin with the late Patrick Swayze.

1055He has done comedic roles and he's pretty funny. He seems like a cool dude. I know he's been doing mostly action movies lately, but there's something about it that is unique to him. Anyway, I loved him as Bad Cop/Good Cop in the Lego Movie.Krev wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2024 11:55 amI don't think of Liam Neeson as a comic actor.cakes wrote: Fri Apr 12, 2024 11:52 amSide note: I recently heard Police Squad is relaunching with Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin. 1057That would be brilliant!Hex wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 12:46 am As a kid I always confused Leslie Nielsen with Liam Neeson because of their names and I have to wonder if that’s part of why he’s been cast…

1059Graeme Naysmith from Pale Saints passed a little over a week ago. Upon its release I was obsessed with "Kinky Love" unawares that it was a Nancy Sinatra cover. It turned me on to the band. RIP
