I am an outsider to this community and hope I'm not intruding by suggesting this.
To honor Steve's lifelong work, I think it would be great to put together a list of all the album he recorded and make it as complete as possible. There's a list on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Alb ... o_engineer but it doesn't look complete to me, I think that some albums mentioned on this forum are not there. It would also be great if the list contained, when possible, links to listen to the music.
I'm suggesting this because over the years I've discovered many great bands just by looking for albums that were recorded by Steve and I think it would be a nice gesture to make it easier for other people.

I forgot to write it in my previous message: My sincere condolences to all who were close to him: family, friends, and coworkers.

It’s fantastic. It’s hard to underplay what this weird little board has meant to a lot of people. On the old board I’d started a thread called How PRF Made me a Better Person (or something like that). I was most active in the early to late 2000s when it seemed like real life dramas and high points were playing out here. Even as I retreated from social media in general I stayed here. Now I keep a Facebook account primarily to stay connected with friends from my home country…. Instagram to keep up with bands I like and my stupid hobbies… but here, I could never give up for a good reason.

As much as we loved Steve he did piss a lot of people off (most of whom deserved it) so we should probably steel ourselves for all the bile that's going to rise to the surface now that he's gone.

I held my shit together fairly well all day Wednesday (played two solid hours of Steve's music on my radio show) until I got home from the bar after midnight and watched a clip of people leaving flowers and stuff outside the studio and then I fucking lost it.

I couldn't find the bee joke, I'm pretty sure the video is from an outdoor interview at some festival in Europe. This cracks me up though:

Honestly, the one thing I clicked on for 30 seconds may as well have been called Pizza Gate Jewish Space Laser Albini: just a pathetically small cry for clicks compared to the OVERWHELMING outpouring of positivity from people well outside of the obvious circles. And of course Steve himself was bulletproof to all that bullshit.

The picture of the FACS tape going around (they were in session with SA this week, now to be completed by Sanford Parker) is devastating. Just the tip of the "mountain of shit unfinished"..

If you're talking about the one with, "Fuck 'em!" as the punchline, I tell that joke to most people I meet, and right away. One of the best things ever I've taken from the board.
