In answer to the Q by Kniferide- $1k is a good starting spot. Obviously more or less depending on exactly what we're doing.

OK- I am super enthused and happy with #22. The goal was to build myself an instrument (I only have the original prototype, which is very rough). I wanted something very comfortable, very lightweight that sounded huge. There are a few refinements and changes in order of operations I will make for production, but this is pretty close to as good as I know how to build a guitar.

and the best part- weighs just 6lbs, 4oz (2.83 kg) and no neck dive.

And light, too. It's lighter than any of my guitars, even the Gretsch semi-hollow. I'm kinda staggered that an alu neck is lighter than my Squier JM, let alone my featherlight semi-hollow.

And the body contouring, combined with the finish, looks really amazing. This is just incredible, Chris. As ever, a real pleasure to see your work.

#23 Headless 30" Bass VI is nearing completion. Over the weekend we went from drilling and fabricating to full polish. Just tweaking the brass nut and doing some touch-up fret dressing. Should do handoff w/ the customer next week.

And getting a start on #24- the brief is to develop a neck-thru full 34" scale bass that comes in under 10 lbs and does not neck dive. I have another block of reasonably light hardwood that I cut into the 'longhorn' DC I've used for a couple other instruments. This one doesn't have a home- so if this is appealing to anyone, let me know.
