I think a desk and medical supplies during a pandemic are a little different. Also, although they hadn't started a full invasion, as of 2020 Russia had grabbed Crimea and we were struggling to renew a nuclear arms treaty with them so we were far from allies.

Like I linked above Trump and Biden had a friendly sparring relationship with the Russians until recently. Even today, we do not formally consider them an enemy nation. He apparently gave Putin some kind of a covid test tool, they sent us ventilators. This seems like a reasonable exchange in a global crisis We similarly gifted vaccines to many places. It’s a non-topic. Now Biden and Trump giving billions of dollars worth of killing machines to allies. That I do have a problem with.
