Okay. Firstly it’s clearly crap. But beyond “why can’t I say the N Word anymore”, I can’t see anything of value in this word that’s come to represent the End of Civilisation to boomer chuds and their younger cousins.

In my world if anyone uses this word it’s an insta block on socials and an eye roll followed by “explain what you mean” IRL.

Probably the single dumbest unimportant thing to have happened in the past 10+ years.

It seems like it was picked up as a buzzword by right-wing chuds before it even began. The word (and idea) itself isn't crap, obviously.

I'm so conflicted because I worry there is no term that a 21st century Civil rights movement can coin, that Maga won't wield like a slur so constantly that it becomes a distorted political liability.

That's a classic Republican tactic: divert attention from their abject failures in governance with a racist dog whistle. That goes back to Nixon, at least.
