Exactly this is what drove me nuts. That and if someone asked for a good DI he would respond with a 14 page treatise on the effects on telecommunications of induced magnetic fields and signal loss caused impedance over great distances between Uruguay and Colombia or something like that. With graphs! In retrospect, it's kinda a funny joke.

Totally, except it's an urban catacomb filled with enough subwoofers, mil-spec power amps and experimental oscillators to flatten whatever postindustrial European city he dwells beneath.
