See, the thing is, I can't imagine a situation in which you would need 41 CDs by Jandek, or really any other artist. I can imagine a situation where you would need $164, so do you see where I am going with this?

I used to think the same thing. I must say it has been a crazy ride. Many of the CDs are quite unlistenable. Many are listenable but you have to do nothing but sit there and listen. I think much of the overwelming feeling of dread and depression and all the other things his work evokes is felt through having a lot of it, being way down in his dark hole. I think this is why Anselm Kiefer worked so large. You must be surrounded by it for it to really overcome you.

Also $164 is like 10 CDs at Tower or the like. It's really not that much to spend on music in my opinion.
