While I like it so far, there’s certain things about the Toneprint system’s quirks that are, uh, bemusing I guess. Toneprint’s editing abilities are very, very extensive, intimidatingly so. The effects themselves seem to be frozen in amber, insofar as they don’t seem to have anything new past whenever their last update was. Oh cool, the Tap Tremolo has a weird kinda randomizy LFO feature! Oh, that can’t be applied to the Shaker vibrato for some reason. I don’t know if I’m explaining that the way I want to get across. In any case, so far it does what I want and I’ve already made several song-specific patches for it. I’m probably gonna have to put the Multistomp back on the board though, as it’s probably not a good idea to put a pedal that hasn’t been practice-tested on my board in time for my band’s next show, which is… uh… this Friday.

The Infinite Sustainer is really cool. Will need to practice on it though.

Firmware update was a bitch, though what digital product isn’t.

Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop" Les Paul Special double cut with P90's. I rolled the dice on this one the day they were released after being really impressed with the other IbGCS models, and because I didn't currently have any P90 guitars. The specs are pretty great for the $999 price point: one piece mahogany neck, one piece mahogany body (pretty sure...I see no seam in the grain on the body), bound rosewood fretboard with mother of pearl dot inlays, Gibson open book shaped headstock, Gibson USA Custom P90's, full size CTS 500K pots, Bumblebee capacitors, Switchcraft toggle switch and output jack, plus a very nice hardshell case. It's one of the most acoustically resonant guitars I've ever played. The P90's sound excellent and clean up amazingly by rolling off the volume and tone controls, which are very usable throughout their entire sweep. The poly finish is perfectly somewhere between satin and gloss. It looks and feels great. I did change the strings from 9's to 10's (personal preference), but right out of the box it needed nothing. Setup was perfect, no sharp fret ends, fret buzz or dead spots, and it holds tune very well. It feels, looks and sounds every bit as good as its Gibson Custom Shop equivalent, for $3200 less. Highly recommend.
