12Fuck this song with the roses on that album cover
Pretty great album outside of that though

13I remember when this ruled MTV for a second and I HATED it -- now I hear it and it sounds pretty nice. Nice harmonies.
Seems like a weird band who scored a fluke hit, not crap.

14Not Crap. I've had a soft spot for Concrete Blonde since I first heard them, around 1983. Johnette seems like a super interesting person. I like 'Joey', but I like 'Happy Birthday' more. I saw them play in a tiny bar in Statesboro GA around 1989. Pretty amazing show.
Re: Song: "Joey"
15Joey rhymes with Randy
Justice for Kyle Bassinga, Da'Quain Johnson, Logan Sharpe, Qaadir & Nazir Lewis, Emily Pike, Sam Nordquist, Randall Adjessom, Javion Magee, Destinii Hope, Kelaia Turner, Dexter Wade, Nakari Campbell, Sara Millerey González

16Never heard of this band. Thank you.Tree wrote: Wed Jun 04, 2025 11:41 amI'd toss Thin White Rope in there as well. Joey, for the time, I didn't hate it and still don't.
Re: Song: "Joey"
17I hate this song with a passion, even though it is about one of my favorite guitarists.
God is a Bullet is a jam though.
I will say crap with waffles because she has a great voice and is a pretty decent player. I of course love the Pretty and Twisted album that Johnette did with Marc.

18These warbly vocals get a bit grating.Tree wrote: Wed Jun 04, 2025 11:41 amI'd toss Thin White Rope in there as well. I'd rather be throwing darts.
Re: Song: "Joey"
20I am pro Joey. I also like the Pretenders’ Kid, and really any song where a strong woman counsels a weak man. Or really any song with the Be My Baby beat.
