I've had this song going in-and-out of my head for almost a week. The Private Dancer trick for eradication doesn't work since I like that song too.

I like 'Joey', but I like 'Happy Birthday' more. I saw them play in a tiny bar in Statesboro GA around 1989. Pretty amazing show.
Rockin Eagle?
That sounds about right. My roommate was in the Savannah band City of Lindas. They opened the show. You probably crossed paths with them at some point. I think they were kinda snobby and didn't like most other bands. When my first band came back to Savannah to play our first show in the city, some of them came to see us, and left before we finished.

CRAP.
I’ve always considered them an evolutionary missing link between 80s hair metal and 90s alternative. They were an 80s L.A. band—indeed, I wonder if any band outside of X spent more time obsessing over the demimonde of Los Angeles—that was both a little too ahead of its time, and too much of its time.
Tone attorney.

When we played with them, Dan thought they were called "City of Windows," and made sure to thank them using that name during our set.

Hilarity ensued. (They were not amused.)

So good.

Just because you have a crimp-haired witchy woman in the band doesn't make X, Fleetwood Mac, or Concrete Blonde into Fields of the Nephilim. Definitely more LA than anything.
