172They have to beat two teams. One is the dodgers that has a lot of excellent players. The other is Yamamoto, that has close to perfectioniembalm wrote: Sat Nov 01, 2025 11:42 pm Well, maybe next year someone in the playoffs can expose the Dodgers weaknesses a little more definitively.

174The fact that that dude came out in a neck-and-neck game 7, hit a batter and then managed to keep his head together is pretty impressive.TylerDeadPine wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 3:43 amThey have to beat two teams. 176Trump hates Los Angeles but apparently likes winners from LA, I guess the Dodgers are going to the White House.TylerDeadPine wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 7:33 am

177It's hard to hate a lot of those guys, or most in truth (except Kershaw).
Mookie's openness and humility, was not sad to see him break out when it counted.
Roki and Yamamoto are quirky and sympathetic. Look for the video of Roki pointing and mouthing "for real" when Yamamoto says he wants to pitch and goes to potentially warm up in extras in game three. Fun stuff.
Feels like somehow Barger's getting doubled up might have had a ripple effect, with IKF leaning pretty conservative and not being able to beat out a throw that he could have had he gotten just a little better secondary lead. There was also zero need to slide on that play. Also stings that Bo was not 100% and able to start and stay in every game, but at least we got to see him play at all. I hope they sign him and keep him and Vladdy together.

178The Jays' relievers also had 51 written on their caps for LA reliever Alex Vesia, who missed the series due to personal matters (he and his wife were expecting a baby, and I suspect there were complications and they may have lost the child).
In spite of the little silly bench-clearing moment towards the end, it was a nice, clean, amicable series.
