Re: Band: Geese
41I think this band is growing on me.
Serious question for the "this is nothing new" voters -- can you be more specific?
Which bands, specifically, sound just like this?

After a few listens, it has grown on me.zircona1 wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 11:30 am I've listened to that new album twice, and I dunno, there's too much Animal Collective-ish jumble of sounds going on in the background which kinda annoys me. Don't know if I'll listen again.
I prefer Cameron Winter's solo album he put out earlier this year. I can totally see how his voice might not be for everyone.
It's funny, cause I think the solo album has just as much clatter going on. It's clearly a goal. It's like take one of the weepy Tom Waits song, minus sand paper voice, then add increasingly chaotic instrumentation and overdubs. I actually dig this formula, but I find myself wondering if there's a sturdy song in there if you stripped away the layers.zircona1 wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 11:19 amAfter a few listens, it has grown on me.zircona1 wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 11:30 am I've listened to that new album twice, and I dunno, there's too much Animal Collective-ish jumble of sounds going on in the background which kinda annoys me. I think I still prefer Mr. Winter's solo album.
His lyrics are great.losthighway wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 2:00 pm I actually dig this formula, but I find myself wondering if there's a sturdy song in there if you stripped away the layers.
