Thanks, maybe I’ll just go to town low balling motherfuckers and see what hits.

Its a $150 card, so while a bigger ticket item would be cool, I really just wanted to take the sting out of a $300-$400 item. I have a pair of MC930s, M160s and M130s I bought b-stock from Beyer before the prices rose again, though, thankfully, so I wasn’t really looking for overhead type jobs. The prices on all that stuff sucks now so glad I bit the bullet when I did.

M160 is probably my favorite guitar amp mic. I'm having mine re-ribboned this week. M88 is definitely handy.
Where are you sending it? I have an M500 (my favorite vocal mic) that needs some TLC.

Ulrigg Ribbons. I think it's Jon from Shinybox. It's like $260 to get it done. I hesitated but the mics are like $1k new and $800 used, and I love it so after it sat around for a year I figured I can't buy any new mics until I fix the old one

What sounds more useful, a pair of M201s or M88? I already have one of each. And a M69.

I feel like I use the 201 more often, but I think a second M88 would be more useful for drums. Stereo 201s sounds pretty cool - I have wanted to try those on overheads - though for the type of sources I would use those on I have sdc and ribbon options as well.
I have a pair of M88's but not M201's. I do like them and want one or 2 though. I will say for the things that M88s are good for they are GREAT for, but for the stuff they aren't great for, they aren't good at all. It's. kinda weird cause even different tom tuning can make or break that. I do love them though. M201 are more of a "57ish" mic to me in that I think they kinda sound pretty good on almost anything, but Great on less. Kinda always good though. I know people like them on snare a lot and I do too, but they don't sound hugely better than a 57 there to me, just a little better, maybe little less pinched sounding. Probably more useful but less fun choice than the M88's.

I actually think M69s are underrated and sound kinda great most of the time. I'd maybe rather have them than 421's for all the same purposes. Great on toms and guitar cabs.

I don't mean to scramble your plan, but neither of these mics scream pair to me. Sure I could easily have one 201 on snare and another on guitar, or one m88 on kick, another on bass amp. But I'd be looking for new flavors. Like maybe a really cool LDC.
I'm a stickler for using the same type of mic on top of both toms. There is something about the color of the impact being different that really bothers me so every mic I buy with toms in mind, I buy 2. It's the ONLY reason I have 2 AKG D112's, there was a time I was into them on Floor Tom, so I had to use one on Rack Tom too.

Also, my Rhodes is Stereo, so a pair of M201 would be nice.

I was looking for someone who makes a smaller version of the Fender Twin three-button footswitch. There was Sweet Food Pedals:

https://sweetfootpedals-com.3dcartstore ... p_274.html

and maybe Loop-Master Pedals https://www.loop-master.com

If these are the only options, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. If you know a place that can make a more compact version of this floor hog, I'd love to hear about it

Do a quick Google search for Loop-Master and you'll see oodles of forum posts about people ordering stuff from them and never, ever getting them. I myself several years back put in an order for a simple two-channel junction box and I got maybe one update six months later for something that never came.

I'd check if Saturnworks can make what you need. I don't see anything there specific for the The Twin 3-button footswitch but couldn't hurt to ask if they can whip something up custom for you.

I just ended up getting another stupid patchbay module. The only good deals on ebay anymore are auctions and i kept missing them and just said fuck it.
TT or TRS? I ran out of spaces a few years ago (I only had 2 52 point Longframe Bays) and got rid of all my ELCO terminated bays and just bought a shit ton of Behringer Balanced TRS bays and Ill probably never go back. Cables are cheap to make or buy, Bays are less than a hundo each, sometimes like $60, and I haven't had a single failure yet. I Have 4 Balanced bays and 2 unbalanced bays and they all work perfectly. Behringer sucks but their bays seem to work fine. Fuck TT/Bantom.

Hey, thanks for the warning. I saw them recommended elsewhere with no bad stories attached. I'll stay away.

This was a good idea. I wrote and asked them after seeing your post. Saturnworks said they don't/won't make a footswitch like this.

Maybe I should contact our resident Dr about this...

Just a Black Lion XLR deal for my preamp sidecar rack, nothing too crazy.

I’ll check out those Behringer things. I’ve been putting it off because I use every i/o on my Midas Venice 320, even with only 16 i/o and its a bit overwhelming.
