I was thinking more like Audioslave cover band attempting US Maple.
Hilarious.

Like Pile being covered by Blueshammer.

They played two songs on Saturday Night Live. One was the Tropical Fuck Storm sounding one, the other definitely wasn’t. Did everyone watch both?

Don’t know, don’t care, but it varied a lot in a couple different ways. The more traditional one it seemed the singer was a little behind or something, who cares. If you have watched a band play live before then you have seen a singer do this, whether intentionally or not. Probably not, but maybe they’re late on a change and lean into it. They’re not playing drums and lines don’t always start on the ‘1.’ Normies getting upset.

The other one rocked, but it’s one of those noisy songs where the freakout chorus is one of the only solid parts of the song, and it’s almost six minutes long or something. Everything else is kind of swirling and bashing around those sections. Normies real upset now, it’s war.

I still think caring that much about singing or singing technique within reason is kind of dorky. I get being turned off by a voice, but a lot of my fav records have kinda bad singing on it ( you are welcome) if you’re comparing it to whatever normies will tolerate in the car. Like, who fucking cares if they can play guitar or not, is the record good?

And Rufus Wainwright, whatever, his family is talented but speaking of nepo babies…? Rufus Wainwright is not rock and roll, not even a little bit. He is playing music that is literally intended to be played to well heeled elites and it sounds like it could go on a fuckin’ Disney soundtrack. Not a diss actually, it just is what it is.

Lana Del Rey had a terrible reaction to her SNL performance and she’s still at it. People are talking about a media event that doesn’t really mean anything (except to those into it maybe) to such an extent that it doesn’t really matter what they’re saying, it’s just noise.

I have heard the music the PRF likes. I have seen what is passed off for lyrics on the best of them. I’m sorry but those are not that fucking bad.

I was a high schooler in 9/11, post Columbine, and don’t even feel that comfortable typing that chorus line tbh.

Geese seems like the mersh version of Pile in my respects.

Man, Pile on SNL, that would be an awesome thing that'll never happen.
