He never was! He ran in the first place to expand his brand without even expecting to win, then he DID win and stayed in office to stay out of prison, in addition to expanding his brand.

What is really encouraging is Zohran Mamdan operating as if he's competing for the DNC presidential nomination in the next presidential term. WaPo declined to endorse a presidential candidate in 2024. Endorsements don’t mean anything, but subscribers recognized the depravity and subservience of the message, and hundreds of thousands canceled subscriptions.

. . . which meant revenues plummeted.

. . . which meant massive layoffs and a death spiral.

Anyway.

Lewis laid off a massive chunk of the newsroom early last week and then thought it was a good idea
to attend a posh red-carpet Super Bowl event later that week.

Anyway:
