See what you miss is that antisemites love Israel. It solves the “Jewish Problem” because they’re all over there. That’s why so many former Jew hating pieces of shit are fine to suck up to the current Israeli government.

I remember not so long ago Israel’s support was primarily from westerners on the left of the political spectrum. For the very reason that rightwing parties were still broadly racist, including against Jews. Just look at Country Club conservatism of the 60s through 80s. Bill Buckley and Co were terrible antisemites.

The flip seems to have happened as the two state solution collapsed. Which was as much the fault of the PLO as the Israeli government.

But that's not what's driving support. It's literally the Evangelical perspective, that they think this is a crusade to bring Jesus Back. So, they are willing to make a pact with Israel and believe that they are using Israel to bring Jesus back, where Israel wants a failed state so they can dominate the middle east, but they can't do it with their small dicks, they need a bigger brother to back them up. We're both using each other, but I hate to say it, Israel has the more reality-based objective. Either way, we're both murderous fucks, just for different reasons.

The funny thing about Iranians who no longer live there is that they are about as Iranian as the next British person, in this case. They don't need to suffer, because they are safely away from the bombs. It is not their daughters being incinerated by US missiles. So, of course, you'll see support for the destruction of Iran from those that don't live there anymore or have never lived there. They have as much to say on the matter as I do. Often times, they don't live there not because they fled the regime, but because their family was part of the Shah or in some ways related to them, who was an American puppet. That's like Marco Rubio looking to overthrow Cuba, not because he's cuban, but because his family was making money off the backs of Cubans and were thrown out by Castro.

Look, you can be against the regime in Iran and still see that this is not the way. You can be against the regime in Iran and still understand that Israel's objective is to make it a failed state. You can be against the regime in Iran and still see that the US was cajoled into it through Israel, wether it was blackmail on Trump with Epstein videos and/or the Evangelical push to bring back Jesus Christ. It still doesn't change the fact that the ends don't justify the means.

We're going to be dealing with the fallout of this for generations.

Yeah, people need to bone up on their Scarface (1983).

I think the writing is already on the wall that the US will back off to "tactical support", and let Israel and whatever opposition proxy cabal they've erected fight the ground war. Call me cynical, but I can see this being a wildly popular move with Jesus freaks, Michigan's Chaldeans and other Shahs of Sunset styled exiled "Persians" that FM HBiden is repping. These people are nostalgic for the scummy petro-monarchy which was a plant by the evil British American assholes who wanted the usual oil and power. Naturally the RNC are betting they will then vote their appreciation in the swingy-states.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we have 50,000 troops moving towards Iran? The senate just voted 52-48 to give Trump war powers. How is any of this backing off?

What the fuck is "United States Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas" (or USSEFTSOTA, incredible acronym that everybody will remember!)? LMAO Kristi Noem got fired as the head of the DHS and that's* her new role.

Sam Seder of the Majority Report has previously mentioned many times on how the Republicans ejected Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, who listened to famous charlatan economist Arthur Laffer, imposed crippling austerity on Kansas, was so bad that the Republican controlled state legislator overhauled his tax reforms, which he votoed, which the veto was overridden. Brownback was then promoted as "United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom" by Trump during the first administration, to which Seder likened it to Brownback "being shot into the ether." Hilarious for this to happen to Kristi Noem too.

*Best part: USSEFTSOTA doesn't even exist!
