Re: THUNDERDOME: ecological impact of children vs. mining crypto

While I very loosely agree w/the "message" in this song:

... Jesus, I'm still voting crypto.

I'm not sure that its ecological impact is quantifiably, literally worse than that of kids, but it adds zero value to the world. Just useless, even when it seemed like more of a casino novelty than a total scourge.

Whereas children are a coin toss. Some of them are actually delightful little fuckers who grow up to be even better adults who add something to the world.

Kids are least at capable of mitigating some of the damage they cause. Crypto, not so much.

Edit: Holy shit, I more or less said roughly the same thing—w/o the vote or video—two pages ago. Apologies for the redundancy. No memory of having done so! It was 2022 or something, which now, unfortunately, seems like decades ago...

One is a weird fad that will pass. The other is the entire reason for human existence.

I think people that post on socials about how they’re choosing not to have children to “save the planet” are the worst example of pointless signaling this side of looksmaxing.

Looksmaxing? What's that?
Concise wisdom there, btw. Making your point with few words is a dying skill in this age of excess waffle

I got a random text from a friend that read "Are you ready to be brutally framemogged while jestering with looksmaxxer Clavicular?" the other day. I have zero idea wtf he is talking about but the combination of words makes me queasy. I'm not looking that up.
