Do you dance?

I did four years of jazz-tap at the London Academy of Dance and Engineering. My thesis consisted of a six-hour improv routine where I danced to a mash-up of Benny Goodman and Rapeman. I danced until my fingers bled.
The cool thing about jazz-tap is that you can do it anywhere - all you need are shoes (Nike do a fab range of spats). And you might need a few feet.
Just this last couple of weeks, I've had the opportunity to bust out a move or two at some great events. Any of you folk go to see Wolf Eyes a while back? Well, before any of the acts came out, I jazz tapped. I jazz tapped at Oxes too.
Jazz tap is for the kids.
Stockhausen!

i dance like a cu*t when sober.

when drunk I am the greatest.

Mid eighties to late eighties house music usually does it for me.

chicago house is the one.

Are you a good dancer?

Do you only dance when drunk?

Do you have any signature moves?

What's songs compel you to dance?

Yes
Sure (what are you going to do, check?)
I'm never drunk
Not that come to mind
Good songs of any variety except maybe really sad songs.

Why do you make it so scary to post here.

When drunk, I tend to perform the breakdance move known as "The Caterpillar" or "The Worm" at highly innappropiate moments. This lead to me having my face kicked off at an Oxes gig in Brixton last year.

i pretty much only dance in one fashion... roughly identical to the scene in forrest gump, when jenny is teaching him how to dance... the sole purpose of this dancing is to demonstrate to the girl trying to get me to dance with her what a very, very bad idea she has.

i am sad to say that i find myself in agreement with an axiom i've heard here and there, "never trust a man who doesn't dance".

the long and short of it is that i'm just wayyyy too uptight to dance.

Try the following:

AC/DC
Gang of Four
The Rolling Stones
T. Rex
ZZ Top

"Black dog". Just that. And you're going to want to take that girl home. And listen to the song all night, over and over. All night.

And in the morning your're going to want to listen to "Since I've been loving you".

Just make sure you don't sing along with it. Or play Jimmy Page airguitar. That sucks. I know it's tempting... But it sucks.
