I played that on a radio show I was guesting on earlier this year and people have been asking about them ever since.
Definitely a slow burner but very worth the wait.

Kerble, these are some of the people that are behind the Pilot Ships, correct? Another Texas anomaly of excellence. WTF!?!
The Mohawk is a fucky venue, methinks.
Where to d/l? iTunes? I'm so unhip.

I'm not surprised that the latest Monroe Mustang album hasn't been all hugely talked about on the forums I frequent, but I still think it's a crime. Everytime that "great albums on 08" are mentioned, there's not a single mention of Monroe Mustang.
Who uploaded the discography to the sendspace thread a long while back? The new one is definitely one of the best releases of the year. It takes a few listens, but then it really gets under your skin.

I had uploaded the batch. I feel bad now that it turns out they still exist, but I think I've bought multiple copies of most of the albums, so I can rationalize away my guilt.
yeah Imaginary Band is just incredible. a much slower burn than the others, but holy hell did they do good on this one. that ringing piano in the choruses of "Fenced In" might just be the perfect piano sound.
ggggrrrrrrrrraaannngggg!
the trick in their songs are those little moments that you don't notice until the nth time you've played the song over again. they're really sneaky that way.
I wish I wasn't so cash tapped right now, I'd drive the hell on down to Austin for these shows.
Lemuel, you can get the download info from Jagjaguwar. there's a link on the site.
