The Athletics have starting pitchers named Harden and Haren. This is an honest mistake.
slowriot wrote:calero is a nice player with a good k/bb ratio and, considering i'm a mets fan, is probably a better MRF than anything we have.

The Mets will be better next year! And if they could find a #1 and/or #2 hitter who could get on base, they'd be a lot better!

slowriot wrote:charles thomas played half a season with the braves and looked good from what i saw... juan cruz, if that's the same guy who was on the cubs, throws hard but sucks? meyer i don't know.

Slowriot, this Tim Hudson trade was not so good at all. The only thing that could redeem it is if Dan Meyer ever becomes an effective big-league pitcher.

slowriot wrote:you would know better than i, but for what it's worth i still think beane is one of the better gm's in baseball.

Billy Beane is pretty good. I think he proved it again today.

Let us not forget Houston Street as the closer. I may have to go to opening day!

Dude makes more money than Eric Chavez. Yikes.
vockins, I think the Pirates are obligated to pay half of Kendall's salary as a part of the deal. The A's alone don't pay Kendall $10 mil/yr, you fucking moron.

I didn't write the A's paid Kendall more money than Chavez, I wrote Kendall makes more money than Chavez, you fucking illiterate turd.

It wouldn't matter if I did declare what you misread, dipshit. Choke on this double dong you blistered duck cunt: the A's only got a mil from Pittsburgh for 2005 and 2006, then they get $5 mil from Pitt in 2007 when Kendall's contract kicks up to $13 mil, so the A's do pay Kendall more than Chavez, you feeble minded goat whore.

both of these players are worth every penny they get. anyone in the game would love to have kendall at the top of their lineup and anyone would love to have chavez in the middle of their lineup. i would probably take kendall over chavez at this point in time, but chavez over kendall in two years time.

btw, the white sox just traded for vasquez. hernandez, vizcaino and young.

Really? Why?

Kenny Williams, you have had a man crush on Javier Vasquez for many years now. You must be quite satisfied.

Jon Garland and Freddy Garcia, you might want to get in touch with your realtors.
