Here's a thread titled "Burn to Shine 2" from 9/16/05.
Here's another thread titled "Burn to Shine: Chicago" from 7/26/05.
I found both using the search function, searching for "Burn to Shine", I didn't even have to "back-read every post on this forum for some very cursory reference".
Just sayin'.
I though the performances were better on the DC one. Chicago seemed a little tired or something. Tortoise was awesome though.

12I didn't wanna be a jerk-ass or anything, but when it was explicitly stated that it had never been discussed on the forum, AFTER Swede already mentioned the search thing, it seemed like a mis-statement worth addressing.
I don't wanna be a jerk-ass. But if you do a search using the EA Search function, for "burn to shine" with the button clicked for "find all terms" or whatever it's called, it only returns 16 lousy results, TWO of which have "burn to shine" right in the name of the thread, and one of which is called "bands play in a house before it is destroyed". So 3 of 16 are pretty obviously about this subject. And actually it's 4 if you count this thread, which is one of the 16 results.
It's awesome that Burn To Shine is getting more attention. Great thing. But there also would've been nothing wrong with reviving one of the three threads that were already dedicated to it.
Like I said, I wasn't even gonna say anything until the statement was made that it hadn't been discussed here before. Because it has. Multiple times. Easily found by UTFSF.

Hold up there Scott. This whole "use the search function" topic has been discussed on LOADS of threads, including this one, which I found easily using the search function.
In future, please use the search function to search for "using the search function".

Yeah, I heard of such a thing. No idea when or where. What fucking bands in Louisville would play.
