i have absolutely no use for Joy Division.

however, i did have a dream saturday afternoon in which i was recording myself playing 'wicked annabella' by the kinks and one tim midgett was playing tamborine on the chorus...hehehe...

-I second the Stephen Merritt
-The Clash
-A few that everybody here loves, like Bedhead

for some odd reason, i don't like either of these bands so much. i mean, they're both good and all. but i was just so disappointed, which is probably cause of my unrealistic expectations of greatness, following rodan. neither band, to me anyways, represented an improvement over rodan, or even a comparable greatness for that matter.

one of my best friends was convinced that I would love Do Make Say Think and they bored the living shit out of me. Some other bands along those lines. Every year my boss tries to push Giant Sand on me and I just can't do it.

girls vs. boys
Owls
Consonant
Interpol
Smog (everything after "Red Apple Falls")
post-rock?

When my old band went on our first tour, our bass player always needed to have a Black Flag hour during the day and it drove me fucking beserk
