Hey dudestick, read the thread the kerble posted above.
If you want to tape, ask in advance, don't be a dick about it, accept that they might say no, and realize that if you are given the go-ahead, it's a gracious move by the band to support your personal obsession.
And Al wears a jockstrap, not panties.

Read the thread. Once again - never taped a show in my life and I completely agree with everything thing you said. If I were to do such a thing, I would absolutely ask the band's permission in advance - and would never do it of they didn't approve. Sorry if my post gave the impression that I was going to be a dick about it. I am a total dick, but not when it comes to things like this.
And also, I fucking hate Henry Rollins.

The one where Rerun is dancing in the trenchcoat at the show and the tape recorder falls out? And then the group helps the gang turn the tables on the guy that pressured Rerun to do the recordings?
What group was that, the Sugar Hill Gang?
I've seen the bridges burning in the night.

18not to put too fine a point on it, but we don't consider show taping "stealing," in any sense of the word. We consider it inconsiderate of those who are there to be immedately (not eventually) involved in the show.
The show is for people who are there at the moment, and not "history" or whatever.

I can actually picture Steve singing that song, and it's surprisingly non-weird. WTF!

My grandchildren will thank me some day.
SNEAK. So go fuck yourself and all that noise you were makin' about how
you'd 'ask' the band. Fucking liar too. About as bad as the internet offers.
'At least one set'. Jesus.
