The grille or whatever its called. The speaker cover. Blue and black tiger stripes.
The most pomposity we ever did was to fill the stage with dry ice "smoke", put on the Jeopardy theme through the PA, then play the intro to the first song totally hidden. The intro was usually a song called Back To The Drawing Board (fourth song on the Van Vranken MySpace) with an electric rather than the acoustic that is on the recording. Then windfans would clear the stage as we would go into the first verse.
I know this must sound simply horrifying to many of you, but it was fun, and I think that's the most important aspect of being in a band. We had a lot of enthusiastic fans, wrote songs about emerging from depression, being in high school, and porn star tragedies. Slightly different than the usual metalhead fare.
And yes, the poon was a nice perk. However, a gentleman never tells if he knows what is good for him.
It was a fun time in my life, but I got more serious about music later.
