Crap Hair metal-Glam on youtube

I have a minor obsession with trawling youtube for terrible Hair Metal and Glam from the 80's on you tube.
I'm looking for mainly the bottom end of the barrel. Vinnie Vincent Invasion and downwards. The more unfamous and obscure/shit the better!

There used to be a show in England called "raw power" which used to be on at 2 in the morning or something which in it's heyday showed some truly wonderful/awful videos of young upstarts. I taped it religiously. Fortunately I no longer have these piles of tapes as youtube would be full of more shit.

There also used to be a series of compilation videos from metal hammer and kerrang which I also lost. Twisted Sister always stood out with their "what you gonna do with your life?" skits.

Any recommendations?

I'll start with one of my faves :

The guitar solo at 2.22 is particularly WTF?

Wow! didn't even have to page you to the thread!

I'll check it out.

Did you ever have a nice hairspray combed back hair do back in the day? I want pictures!

I used to follow a local Bradford band called "Carrera" when I was 12. They even had huge flashpots in little venues which could have predated the "Great White" Massacre in execution. The singer even rigged up an absailing kit which made him fly from the "crowd" (ten people) on to the stage. Followed instantaneously by huge outdoor fireworks which usually set fire to something.

Ahhh. those were the days!

Does it get any more "bottom of the barrel" than that?

Believe me. It does. Ever seen TigerTailz?

STOP THE PRESS. Just been searching for TigerTailz and found this:

This is beyond my wildest dreams. A shit fanmade video with the mother made to put rollers in her hair and the garage kitted out with silver foil and kids already miming to an already shit song. Priceless.

Anyway the original band may be worse:

I did go through a certain "phase", myself. Fluffed up poofy hair. Tiger striped clothing and amplifier covers. Dry ice, the whole bit. I think that most everybody makes a fashion statement that they will live to regret someday. Me probably more than most. I never turned my back on the classic rock, punk, post-punk, new wave stuff I liked, though. I confused a lot of metalheads with my tastes. They never knew how to respond to Coltrane. I went through stages with the music creation I was involved in: Punk, hair metal, then straight up rock n' roll with absolutely no fashion statement and short business-like haircut. Strictly let the music do the talking.

I have no shame about it, but some think I should.

Nah man. No shame. As long as you got some poon!

I was always a Thrash metaller. One of the worst photos i've seen of myself was wearing a mickey mouse t-shirt with tight black jeans and pink pony sneakers on. Oh, and a mullet. Above the eyes at the front and nipple length at the back. My good friend always reminds me of that. You should have seen him!

And I laugh at emo kids now! What a hypocrite! I never wore makeup though. Something's telling me that you did.

Amp covers? you mean the pvc marshall amp covers or similar? I just realised that no-one EVER uses them. I once saw a band who's roadie's pre gig setup was unveiling the marshall stack before they went on stage. Almost expecting the "wooooo" from the crowd. Unless that particular day you had just been beamed down from voton you would have found it groundbreaking.
