Odd, last night I had a dream I was eating sauerkraut, and I haven't eaten it since I was a kid.

As somebody who doesn't eat any fruit, and not as much vegetables to make up the difference, sauerkraut is really important in my diet. It is high in vitamin C I believe, and if eaten uncooked it has more of that 'probiotic' bacteria than even yogurt does. So me being cheap, I regularly eat sauerkraut and hard boiled egg sandwiches, with mustard and horseradish sauce. They're allright. Sauerkraut is also indispensible in the aforementioned Reuben, as well as Bigos.

No, it doesn't give me gas. I think a lot of gas is caused by your digestive system not being used to a certain type of food.
