Let me tell you something about the world that we live in today.
The only "depression" I know if is spelled with a capital "D," and ended during the 1930's due to the never-give-up work ethic that this country used to have. "Chemical imbalances" in the brain are what pass for depression today. Boo hoo. You can't find meaning in your life? Go to work, that's what my generation had to do. Lose your girlfriend? Tough luck, meet one at work (that's if you have a job). "Chemical imbalance" is a term spawned by the coddling view this nation that has no concept of how little "chemicals" have to do with our thoughts and actions. What a depressing point in history when chemicals are being blamed for the histrionic, narcissistic epidemic sweeping this country, encouraging people to "talk about their feelings" instead of bucking up and go to work. That's what I did.
