Bonham lives! wrote:I haven't upgraded, but I've got one persistent problem with firefox: every now and then, after say 30 minutes of use, it becomes non-responsive. I click on links/images, and it says "done" without doing anything. I quit and reload and it's fine. It does this at least once a day. Anyone else have this problem? OS X, btw.
I had this problem using the Split Browser add-on. Once I disabled it, I haven't had it since.
I'd be at a serious loss without Foxmarks too. Best add on ever. Also, if I can't use the NASA Night Launch theme then I have no purpose on this Earth.
That Steve Ballmer freakout clip was downright frightening. The Gloria Estefan in the background made it that much more perplexing.

Here is a torrent for FF3 in case you can't download it from their official servers.
It looks like IE7, which is a good thing.

Ah christ, my fave extensions aren't supported in 3.0 yet (Adblock Plus, All-in-one gestures, etc).
Looks nice though.

The smart bookmarks feature rocks and so does the "Almighty Bar".
Is the "Almighty Bar" this thing that now stores all my favorites and history for auto-typing urls, including the favicons and site descriptions...which takes up the entire height of my screen the moment I start typing
anything in there?
If so, CRAP.
The rest has been alright so far.
btw Opera 9.5 is slick.

You can do some things to sort out the Awesome Bar; see
here. Once it is shrunk, it actually becomes quite useful - I can get to a number of football sites I visit but that aren't worth bookmarking by just typing 'foo' and tapping down a bit.
On a Mac, I use the
Grapple theme.
I'm using Adblock Plus with Firefox 3, have been since RC1.
I like Firefox.

I just downloaded - so far so good. The Awesome Bar is a bit strange at first - I'll give it a chance before changing it back to default. That Grapple theme looks cool - too bad I'm on a Windoze machine.

Netflix Online?
Pretty much only reason why I still have IE readily available.

The Awesome Bar is highly annoying. I don't need anything to auto complete. I can type the address in just fine and if it's something I want to visit again, I can bookmark it.
