Having gone and studied the footage, I can definitely say that he almost certainly choked on a bacon sandwich.

i just saw an interview on MSNBC between some kinda bitchy lady and a guy who works for the company that made that. he sat there and said repeatedly that they believe it is a good thing because it will encourage kids to get interested in what is one of the most significant world events ever. she basically called him a piece of shit over and over and over, and then, this is what slayed me... she's all "well we put together a videogame too, why couldn't you make a game about george washington crossing the delaware? and then you could pretend you're one of the people in the next boat over, and you're looking to see if he really could cross it standing up or not? and then, oh, you've got him in your sight, and then you pull the trigger and then there he is in the water, you did it, you shot the president! this seems like it would be about the same as far as teaching kids about a historically significant world event!" and then i couldn't even wait to hear him point out that the game they made is historically accurate and what she described is utter shit, i had to change the channel or i would have wished her dead so ferociously... UGH! she actually managed to make me sympathize with the piece of shit that made the game. what a mindfuck.

It really is a strange line I find myself drawing, because I have up to this point been a staunch supporter of the "violent video games do not cause any kind of behavioral changes in children" campaign. Trying to follow my own logic though, why would I have a problem with this game when I do not have a problem with the game Hitman, for example, which basically revolves around doing even more horrible things to many different people who are not the President? Surely it is not some kind of inborn patriotism or something, so I cannot really figure out why I have a problem with this game. But I do, I find it tasteless and devoid of worth and I hate the very idea.
I already knew I was getting old, but I thought it would take longer than this to start becoming a hypocrite. Ugh.

I think game looks well researched and made, it seems like it would be good fun. No one forcing anyone to play it.
Que Sirhan Sirhan.

Well played. I suppose I worded my statement wrong, I am not actually as flabbergasted by the game itself as the idea that shooting a President, even virtually, can be considered "good fun." It just seems like a detestable idea to me.

I guess 'virtual' is the operative word. As far as I know its not a crime to fantasize about killing a president, albeit a dead one.
And at $9.99 the game is a snip (or should that be snipe).

yeah, according to mr guy who works for (maybe he was some kinda director even) the company, the details of the game are pretty much supposed to be 100% historically accurate and all that. the goal of the game is to kill Kennedy in *precisely* the fashion that the warren commission determined that he was killed. not just to shoot him. to shoot him EXACTLY like oswald did. the purpose is to illustrate that there was no conspiracy, and that it's entirely possible to pull off per the warren description.
i thought it seemed like the point was yet one more round of target practice, getting kids all geared up so they're ready to kill and stuff. but it's actually about history and debunking conspiracies!! who'da thunk it?

I think old Jiffie Kay had a pretty rough going throughout his short presidency.
