no. the reverb program compares the dry to the wet of the impulse-creating sound and derives the reverb formula that way. it needs to be a sample.

Anyone have access to a Quantec QRS room emulator? Those would be wonderful to make some impulse response files...

I once had someone tell me (with a straight face) that recording to analog tape is pointless because all you have to do is mess with the filters on ProTools and it sounds exactly the same.
