I REALLY don't mean to upset/offend anyone, but I was wondering if there is such thing as I.R.'s from Electrical Audio to be used with convolution reverbs units.

I recently got hold of some I.R.'s from Westlake Studios for Altiverb.

It's a bit cheeky... but it would be really cool.

They are also quite easy to create and with the equipment available in E.A. it would be dead easy to get the job done.

I seriously wouldn't mind paying a fair amount for them if they were available.

i don't think anyone views a reverb impulse as a replacement for beautiful acoustic spaces, steve albini, and this...

Are you kidding? I hardly think a half-assed model of the space on a PC is going to displace the attraction of recording in the space itself, let alone the mics, the 2" & 1/2" decks, the expertise of the staff.....WTF???

Sort of back to the topic at hand, but I'm warning you, I'm vastly uninformed about this reverb impulse thing. HOWEVER, it sounds like you're talking about those custom reverbs where you give the unit a sample and it designs an formula to replicate the decay, is that right? Would you be able to use the sample snare drum sound files from the Studio A and B pages?
