I suppose because I've grown up with bands which have been informed by and surpassed that genre. Listening to something like the Sex Pistols now just sounds like a competant pub rock band with camp, zany vocals. "Sorry, which bit was dangerous again?".

Rapeman. Two of my friends think this is far and away the best thing that Albini ever did. I don't get it. Maybe someone should explain it to me. I don't like not getting it.

Even without "superpussy" "logbass" and "hated chinese", "just got paid today" is worth the price of admission alone.

I have enjoyed and appreciated, "Greetings from Asbury Park, " Nebraska" and the Ghost of Tom Joad". I understand he is talented as a song writer, has dirt under his fingernails and is earnest but I still can't get passionate about him. I blame it on the fact that Born in the USA was big in my formative years. I figured anything Reagan used as a campaign song was definitely worth not liking. I know, I know it's about a disaffected returning Vietnam vet and the biting criticism was lost on the public. I still feel luke warm at best about his music.

Sparks, my singer loves them. I don't hate them, i just prefer it wasn't played while i was around. I hate the drink though, that shit is gross.
