I would like to reiterate Mr. Popple. Truly an inspiration.

Germ War's additional picks:
Pat Samson - U.S. Maple
Danny McClain - Grand Ulena
Greg Davis - Oxbow
Brian Wnukowski - Big'n/Check Engine/Runner
Tom Iforgethisdamnlastname - The Conformists
Thymme Jones - Cheer-Accident
Bob Rising - Tight Phantomz (didn't see him with his better-known outfit, Poster Children)

Plus a slew of amazing folks in the Twin Cities: Todd Trainer, Freddy Votel, Ben Ivascu, Adam Patterson, Shawn Walker, Jonathon Warnberg, Angela Gerend, and literally fucking dozens more. So good.

The drummer to C-Clamp was the smoothest drummer I ever saw on the kit.

Good ol' Brian. He's in Cougars, too. I used to go see his old band (forgot the name right now, but it was with Carl Saff on guitar) all the time. I remember everyone loved him because he'd get real drunk and smash his kit all over the place. I don't recall him keeping the beat much, but that was like 10 years ago. I haven't seen him in a few years (back when Cougars got started and played a coupla shows).

That guy from Isis is pretty fuckin' good... saw them on Monday.

John McEntire is great.

John Stanier is in my opinion top [pick a small number] modern rock drummers, above Bonham.. seeing him with Battles is tiring just watching... and Helmet without him is just lame. Mark of Cain is his "heavy band" and great.

Tool guy is great.

I'm not really adding much here.

We (Brian, Dave Bychowski and I) was Neutrino. Thanks for going to our shows. Brian is one of my favorite drummers, for obvious reasons. A blast to play guitar with.

Mac McNeilly is way up there on my favorite's list. He has it all -- style, subtlety, pummel, timing, grace, brutality... all that great rock drummer stuff. He's way up there on Brian's list, too.
