Check that switch. Those are easy to take apart and clean the contacts on. I had a similar problem on an old LPB-1 that needed the contacts cleaned.
DOnt think so, but it doesn't bother me. I most often use the show multiple takes in lanes feature so I dont really notice it. It's not really a cut point it is literally just the edge of the file. Once you comp youre takes you can just Crop to active take and they all go away, Maybe its just how I edit. the only way to not have it is to do punches that are Record Replace and that destroys the previous take and the ability to edit it all.mdc wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 5:08 pm Hi - Reaper question here, as I think many of youse are users?
Is there a way to prevent a new take from automatically adding cut points every time it crosses over the ending of a previous take?
Similarly, is there a way to undo this now that it's done?
at this point, you want that to be all one take right? if so Track > Right Click > Glue Itemsmdc wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 5:08 pm Hi - Reaper question here, as I think many of youse are users?

OH i see what you are saying every time it crosses a file edge, it puts a cut across ALL files. THat is annoying and I've never noticed that. Maybe its a new bug. They dont seem to be x faded either, just little fade out and fade in. That's not good. gross. Ill try to figure it out.Kniferide wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 8:23 pmDOnt think so, but it doesn't bother me. I most often use the show multiple takes in lanes feature so I dont really notice it. Ok. Weird new issue. I've never seen it act quite like this. The most graceful thing I can come up with is to view with all takes In lane, delete all tge weird trimmed off edges on each side of the one block that contains ALL your takes, then drag/expand that middle se tion out to the farthest edges. This gives you a single block with all takes and no cuts across the block. Then you can put cuts in and highlight the takes you wNt to use and just leave it or do the crop to active take function that will compile it into a single edited block. It's a quasi destructive action tgat be ones totes destructive if you glue it all together. Be careful. I'd just leave it cropped, with the edits visible.
