Won't bend them any worse than a hundred pounds of string tension will.

That's what I'm thinking, but you inevitably find people on the Internet who claim otherwise.

You shouldn't believe anybody on the internet.

You could store a Fender guitar under the tire of a small car and it would probably stay in tune.

Not only is that fine but there’s also no “better” secret way to wind strings around a tuning peg that involves a nautical knot that is worth doing

Speaking of which......why do non split-shaft tuners exist? A superior version has existed for like 70 years and yet the solid shaft ones are still around.

AGREE! I love safety tuners. I know exactly where to cut my strings (about 2.5 posts ahead of the one you are stringing, 3 for plain strings), insert and turn. Works great every time.

IDK about the split shaft but that's a hella odd Fender they have in that photo. left-handed & wtf model?
Tele or Esquire maybe upon closer look - maybe not that weird. Just cut off before the...dimple or knob or whatever you want to call it. If you just follow the line though looks like it's going to make a hockey-stick shape like a Parker fly or something

Anyone familiar with the FMR PBC-6A?
I know the FMR stuff is well regarded and very well might be a great value, but the PBC compressor is still more expensive than the RNC and RNLA, especially if you want two channels.
They have a good resale value, which might be reason enough to try one it on its own, but I’d like to hear more from our corner of the internet. Google keeps pointing me to certain gearspace characters that I’m not too sure about
